Craft And Folk Art Museum |
|
The Craft and Folk Art Museum is cool little stop along museum row on Wilshire Blvd. On a recent trip to another museum we spotted it on the way back to the car and found it like many museums in Los Angeles has a free day once a month. Photography is not allowed in the gallery so we can’t show you too much. The museum consists of three stories. On the first is reception and a gift shop. The second floor had a very artful display of black & white photographs depicting coffee growing and processing throughout the world. It really is a lot more interesting than it sounds. Upstairs on the third floor there is a display of Mexican craft art which are filled with a lot of symbolism of Aztecs, Jesus and Mexican culture. This work is very unique and colorful which I appreciate. There is plenty of two hour parking in the area which is more than enough for your visit. The Craft & Folk Art Museum is free on the first Wednesday of the month.
